After Disney shuffled up their release date slate earlier today, we have a few more opening-day changes to report:

  • Sex Tape - Sony/Columbia has bumped the Jake Kasdan comedy from July 2, 2014 back to July 18, 2014 in order to avoid box office conflicts with Melissa McCarthy's road-trip laugher, Tammy.
  • Addicted - Lionsgate has set a March 14, 2014 release date for this Bille Woodruff (Honey) drama.
  • Jessabelle - Lionsgate has pushed the release date of Kevin Greutert's horror-thriller back to August 29, 2014.

News of Sex Tape's delayed release comes via THR.  The comedy stars Cameron Diaz and Jason Segal as a married couple who make a sex tape in order to spice up their marriage.  Unfortunately, the tape makes its way into the world and lands in the hands of the CEO of Children’s Toy Company, to be played by the recently added Rob Lowe.  Hilarity ensues when the couple is forced to steal the tape back from him.  Sex Tape also stars Jack Black and Rob Corddry.

Lionsgate's release date changes come via Box Office Mojo.  Bille Woodruf (Honey) directs Addicted, a story about a supposedly happily-married mother of three children who satisfies her sex addiction by sleeping around.  The picture stars Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) and Boris Kodjoe (Resident Evil: Retribution).

While it sounds like it could also be sexy, Jessabelle is in fact a horror-thriller from director Kevin Greutert (Saw 3D: The Final Chapter).  The story centers on the title character, played by Sarah Snook (Not Suitable for Children), who returns to her father’s Louisiana home after an accident renders her legs useless.  There, she must confront a vengeful ghost.  Jessabelle also stars Mark Webber (Scott Pilgrim vs the World), Joelle Carter (Justified) and Larisa Oleynik (Mad Men).
