Lionsgate and Studiocanal have released the official Shaun the Sheep Movie trailer for Aardman Animations’ upcoming stop-motion film. Based on the TV program of the same name, the story revolves around a sheep (named Shaun, obviously), who gets more than he bargained for when a day of fun turns into a day in the city with his entire flock. This trailer is pretty cute, and it’s neat to see that the sheep really don’t speak—they can only manage variations of “Bahhhh”. That puts this in a league similar to this summer’s Minions, but Aardman’s been doing great work in the world of stop-motion for quite some time, so odds are solid this will be charming as all get-out.

Here’s the official synopsis for Shaun the Sheep Movie:
When Shaun decides to take the day off and have some fun, he gets a little more action than he bargained for. A mix up with the Farmer, a caravan, and a very steep hill lead them all to the Big City and it’s up to Shaun and the flock to return everyone safely to the green grass of home.
