The new year is only seven days old, but I think we may have found the worst poster of 2011. The folks who have designed a new foreign poster for Shelter have decided that the best way get people to see the movie is to send stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Julianne Moore down into the Uncanny Valley. Looking at this poster, I’m wondering if Square Pictures ever really got shut down.
Hit the jump to check out this masterpiece. Shelter is slated to open in the US on February 25th.
Poster via IMP Awards.

They look like they’ve been mocapped.
Holy shit. It looks like a bad board walk spray painted t-shirt.
it’s on par with the movie, had potential but they had to keep fucking with things ruining it.
It looks like art you would see on the side of some pothead’s van.
And if the art isn’t bad enough, the actors name are swapped – his name over her head…
Isn’t it rather common, though, to reverse the names of the actors on movie posters? I always thought that was deliberate.
That said, that is one of the worst posters I’ve seen in a while. Looks like an experimental high school project. Has potential, but is overwrought, shoddy, and *what* is going on with Julianne Moore’s hair? This is not how to use the Burn Tool. And don’t even get me started on those eyes…
Holy mother .
I must add that if we cut Jonathan off the poster, It wouldn’t look that bad.
