Sigourney Weaver to Reign as Vampire Queen in Amy Heckerling’s VAMPS

sigourney_weaver_02.jpgSigourney Weaver has signed on to co-star in the vampire romantic-horror-comedy Vamps.  Directed by Amy Heckerling (Clueless), the, “modern-day story focuses on beautiful young vampires (Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter) who are living the good nightlife in New York until love enters the picture and each has to make a choice that will jeopardize their immortality.”

Weaver will play “Ciccerus, the bloodthirsty vampire who turned the two ladies into creatures of the night.”  And by “creatures of the night,” I’m assuming Heat Vision means vampires and not prostitutes (although, I suppose the two aren’t mutually exclusive).

I look forward to reporting who will be cast as the male lead in the film so I can fail at trying to avoid the phrases, “will be sucking on,” and “getting sucked.”

Sigourney Weaver looks pretty darn impressive. In this movie she’s nearly as iconic as the Alien and has helped make that series. Also I think she’s notable as one of the first serious female action stars. Other movies like Ghostbusters and Galaxyquest put has helped her here.
