With Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosting the Golden Globes tonight, it's a smart bit of synergy for Universal to pump this Sisters TV Spot out there during the broadcast, ensuring that millions of people familiar with (and in the midst of) the occasional duo's comedy brand are the first ones exposed to footage from the film.  It also helps that this spot is a really good introduction to the film. It's only twenty seconds long, but it's a good twenty seconds.  While the world of the film seems fairly heavily pushed in terms of tone, I have faith that Fey and Poehler have a handle on things.  It doesn't hurt that director Jason Moore also helmed the fantastic Pitch Perfect.

Hit the jump to check out the Sisters TV Spot.  The film opens December 18, 2015, and also stars Ike Barinholtz (Neighbors).  I'm optimistic, even though the wait is long.  It's a good thing no other movies are coming out that day so that it gets my undivided attention.

Here’s the official synopsis for Sisters:

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler reunite for Sisters, a new film from Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore about two disconnected sisters summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom before their parents sell the family house.  Looking to recapture their glory days, they throw one final high-school-style party for their classmates, which turns into the cathartic rager that a bunch of ground-down adults really need.
