Sony has released the first teaser trailer for director Sam Mendes’ (American Beauty, Road to Perdition) Skyfall and it looks fantastic. Unlike some trailers that show you everything and leave nothing to the imagination, this teaser trailer is exactly that…a teaser. It’s a perfect first look at Skyfall, and what I love is that we don’t even get see the film’s baddie, Javier Bardem. If you’re the type that likes to stay spoiler free, I promise you can watch it and you won’t be mad that you did. Hit the jump to check it out.
Skyfall also stars Daniel Craig, Bérénice Marlohe, Judi Dench, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Helen McCroy, Albert Finney, and Ralph Fiennes.

What I have seen has proven that Skyfall has the makings of becoming a classic James Bond movie, one which we have not seen for a while.

You couldn’t have said it better. It looks like they are paying respects to the best of the previous Bond movies and taking the intense drama and mysterious-action to the next level that was never before seen.
I love it. It looks completely original from the other ones and I’ve watch ALL OF THEM once a year on the Bond Thanksgiving Day Marathon.
The locations look like From Russia With Love. Only this version is much more serious looking. Love the new locations over the gutter stuff from Quantum Leap oh I mean Quantum of Solace.
I’m hoping that this one takes espionage and plot mystery to a level never before seen in a Bond movie. From looking at the trailer it looks like it’s their intention.
Bond killing everyone in sight and having an even more solid romance story than Casino Royale just might make this the best Bond film ever. Or am I hoping to much… lol
Oh, I hope he finally becomes more sophisticated since he certainly looks a little older since Casino Royale. With still that Craig brut “kick ars” nature of course.

Ehh looks alright, the second film was really disappointing though and the name Skyfall still sounds silly. Hope Mendes brings this back to the same level as Casino. One a side note the tone certainly looks different than the first two so that could be a good thing

Rodger Deakins looks like he is the real star here!….Has a 007 movie ever won an oscar? I’ve never been so excited for a Bond film, this should be good.
I have told many people this:
Quantum of Solace was the WORST film I have ever seen in my life.
All because of the editing, it was just series of unrelated shots cut next to each other and completely incoherent and incompetent
Then you must not have seen very many movies. Was it a good Bond film? No. Was it an amazing movie? No. Worst movie of all time? I once saw a zombie movie where the zombies had green faces, but they forgot to paint the hands. I once saw a movie where a chase scene occurred by the actors running in place in front of a cardboard background. Quantum of Solace is a very decent movie in comparison by leaps and bounds.
Quantum was a good movie. But it was just an action movie with a guy named James Bond. Had nothing remarkable to admire and/or be fond of.
Quantum of Solace is what you get when the Writer’s Guild goes on strike right after the first draft of your script is done… and then the director and star rewrite scenes on the set because they can get around union rules.
Yeah Quantum Solace was forgettable but worst movie ever? Not even close.
This looks good but Bourne Legacy teaser trailer looks better than this
That one should be good I can buy Renner as being much tougher than Matt frickin Damon, I’d take James Bond way before the other IMO too-highly regarded bourne films and hell I’m American.

Cool trailer. Steve, I think we might* actually see a silhouette of Bardem near the end of the trailer with a flaming building behind him. Which, to me, gives the impression that this will be one bad villian.
we def see him as a silhouette…but it’s not a clear look. which I love. I absolutely hate trailers that give everything away and this teaser is a perfect example of how to sell a film.
