If you watched the damn impressive (and long) opening ceremonies for the Olympics last night, you caught director Danny Boyle’s amusing James Bond short film featuring Daniel Craig and the Queen herself.  In addition to the royally-enhanced bit, a brand new TV spot for the new James Bond film, Skyfall, aired during commercial breaks, and that spot is now online for your viewing pleasure.  Instead of jamming as many explosions into 30 seconds as possible, this spot plays like a great mood piece, giving audiences a tiny taste of what director Sam Mendes has cooked up for his entry in the long-running franchise.  We also get an incredibly brief first look at Javier Bardem as the villain and a really great tag that showcases a humorous Bond stunt.I continue to be impressed by what we’ve seen from Skyfall thus far, and I’m incredibly excited to see how it all comes together.  Hit the jump to take a look at the TV spot.  The film also stars Ralph Fiennes, Bérénice Marlohe, Judi Dench, and Naomie Harris.  Skyfall opens on November 9th.Here’s the official synopsis for Skyfall:

Daniel Craig is back as James Bond 007 in Skyfall, the 23rd adventure in the longest-running film franchise of all time.  In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M (Judi Dench) is tested as her past comes back to haunt her.  As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
