Universal has been doling out images fairly regularly from their upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman, and today we’ve assembled the latest batch into one handy-dandy article for your viewing pleasure. I’m actually quite excited for this update on the classic story, as director Rupert Sanders is taking a positively epic approach to the story with some impressive visuals on display. These latest images show stars Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth in the heat of battle, as well as Stewart facing down one ginormous creature. I was also impressed by the first image of the dwarves that was released recently; the visual effects used to shrink Nick Frost, Ray Winstone, Ian MacShane, etc. are quite good.

Hit the jump to check out the latest collection of images. The film also stars Charlize Theron and Sam Claflin. Snow White and the Huntsman opens June 1st.

Here’s the official synopsis for Snow White and the Huntsman:

In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her.  But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) who was dispatched to kill her.  Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.

The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.
