New Poster and 20 New Images from SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN

     April 17, 2012

New images from Snow White and the Huntsman have gone online.  In this re-imagining, the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) is ordered to take Snow White (Kristen Stewart) into the woods to be killed, but instead becomes her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen (Charlize Theron).  Director Rupert Sanders has definitely provided the film with a rich, imaginative style, and I’m hoping the story is solid enough to warrant the excellent production design and c costumes.  The new batch of images include fresh pics of Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) as Prince William, who hasn’t really been seen much in the marketing thus far.

Hit the jump to check out the images.  The film also stars Nick Frost, Bob Hoskins, Ray Winstone, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, and Ian McShaneSnow White and the Huntsman opens on June 1st. [Update: We’ve been asked by the studio to take the images down, but the new poster remains after the jump.

Here’s the official synopsis for Snow White and the Huntsman:

In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) who was dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.

The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.

GUYS us over 50 people were prevelant in the theatre tonight for Snow White and the Huntsman – we like a good laid out story and dont need a ton of special effects. Our entire older group loved the movie. There are a ton of us baby boomers out there.

The movie looks great visually, and as you said, hopefully it has a good story with a good script to back up all the great effects
