It won't hit theaters in time for Jesus Christ's birthday, but Son of God is due out to the big screens early next year.  From the producers of The Bible miniseries that aired on History Channel earlier this year comes the feature film cut of the story of Christ.  Portuguese actor Diogo Morgado stars in the title role, which he portrayed in the 10-part miniseries.

Director Christopher Spencer's Son of God also stars Greg Hicks, Adrian Schiller, Darwin Shaw, Sebastian Knapp, Joe Wredden, Simon Kunz, Paul Marc Davis, Matthew Gravelle, Amber Rose Revah and Roma Downey, and opens February 28, 2014.  Hit the jump to watch the new trailer.
