In an intriguing move, Sony has decided to promote its upcoming game, “Uncharted 2: Among Thieves” by having two nights of multiplayer events in select theatres nationwide. Now I’ve always wondered what it would be like to play a game on a screen that’s taller than a house and I’m hoping that Sony is starting a trend with this move. It is a tad off that they’re doing it with “Uncharted 2″ because that game is probably going to be the PlayStation 3′s best holiday seller but you won’t hear me or anyone else complaining. Well, you will because this is only happening in four cities but hopefully one is near you!
Hit the jump for details. “Uncharted 2: Among Thieves” hits stores on October 13th.
The event is scheduled for Monday, October 5th and Tuesday, October 6th but THR notes that Monday is primarily for media and Tuesday is for the public with tickets costing $15 each. Here are the four cities where this is going down:
The Landmark Embarcadero in San Francisco, California
Muvico Theaters in Rosemont, Illinois and in Thousand Oaks, California
Lincoln Square Cinemas in Bellevue, Washington
