Summit Entertainment has updated their release schedule by placing Duncan Jones Source Code on April 15, 2011 and moving Paul W.S. Anderson’s 3D adaptation of The Three Musketeers to October 14, 2011.  Last week, we reported that Source Code would be released on March 11, 2011.  However, since that report came from the British magazine Empire, that date could still hold for UK audiences.  Domestically, Source Code will now go up against Wes Craven’s Scream 4 and the drama Water for Elephants starring Reese Witherspoon, Robert Pattinson, and Christoph Waltz.  The Three Musketeers is currently the only film opening the weekend of October 14th, 2011.

For those who don’t know, Source Code stars Jake Gyllenhaal as a soldier in an experimental program who must keep re-living a train bombing until he discovers the culprit.  The film also stars Vera Farmiga, Michelle Monaghan, and Jeffrey Wright.
