South Park is having a pretty solid season, skillfully navigating the line between outrage culture and being outrageous, and while they’ve been pretty tuned in topically for the past week, it looks like they’re going to go deeper into Internet culture for this week’s episode, “Tweek x Craig”. And to go deeper, they’re asking for fans help.
On the official website (via EW), the creators are asking for user-submitted slash/yaoi for Tweek and Craig only. For those who don’t know, slash fiction is fan fiction that sexually puts together two characters from a particular work of fiction (tv, movies, books, etc.), and yaoi which is a term for “Boys’ Love” fiction, is manga-based art. Both slash and yaoi predominantly take heterosexual characters of the same gender and make them have sex, so you can see where there’s room for Trey Parker and Matt Stone to have some fun.
According to EW, the episode is about “the Asian girls in school [who] are drawing dreamy pictures of Tweek and Craig,” so presumably their artwork will be taken from the fan submissions. Prepare for shit to get graphic and to get weird.
If you want to submit your slash/yaoi for the episode, you have until tonight at 9pm EST. The episode airs on Wednesday at 10pm EST on Comedy Central.
