The Coon (and everyone else) is back in the new trailer for South Park: The Fractured But Whole. Series creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker envisioned a future for the franchise that taps more into this video game world, and we’re seeing more and more of why that’s true.

The trailer for The Fractured But Whole (which I’m going to reference as often as I can in a totally serious manner) might as well be another South Park movie. The Coon enlists the aid of Mysterion, Human Kite, and Toolshed to investigate the disappearance of a neighborhood cat named Scrambles. On their way to uncovering a larger conspiracy, The Coon needs everyone to respect his “authoritah" (everyone “needs to have a superhero persona”) and Professor Chaos becomes hellbent on destroying South Park with his gerbil “minions.”

Much like South Park: The Stick of Truth, The Fractured But Whole promises to give fans a new tale with a more in-depth look at their quiet little mountain town. Then there’s your part in The Fractured But Whole: you play “The New Kid,” who, as Stan says, has “farts that stop time or something.”

Watch the trailer below.

“I think in 20 years, 10 years, people will be playing more,” Parker said of The Fractured But Whole. “That convergence of entertainment, whether it’s VR or a more immersive thing. The more you get in it, the more you watch Pew Die Pie, and people watch Pew Die Pie play, and you watch E-sports. You watch young people, and the way they engage with something – sh–, maybe that is the future of South Park.”

Read more details on what’s going on in The Fractured But Whole below. The game still doesn't yet have a firm release date.

Evil stirs in the town of South Park and The Coon has sworn to clean up the trash can of society. When the Coon and Friends investigate the disappearance of a local cat, they discover the threat is far greater than any of them realized. Allied with the mysterious New Kid and his magical butthole, will the intrepid group of Super Heroes be able to harness their amazing powers and save the town?
