These days, comics legend Stan Lee might be known more for his Marvel movie cameos than his creation of the self-same heroes seen in the flesh on the big screen.  With the latest news that Lee just wrapped his cameo in Joss Whedon's upcoming sequel Avengers: Age of Ultron, that status isn't likely to change.  This past year has been relatively slow for Lee's acting career, especially since the previous 13 years saw him cameo in 17 different movies.  And with Lee's 92nd birthday coming up at the end of this year, he shows little sign of slowing down.  He even reached across the comic book aisle to offer up some advice to Zack Snyder's DC superhero film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.  Hit the jump for that and more.

As Digital Spy reports (via CBM), Lee appeared at the London Film and ComicCon event in support of the expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe.  He commented on the rampant success of Marvel movies and comic book cinema in general as follows:

"All it can do is make it better for Marvel if we do these movies and the movies are successful. There are people reading Marvel comic books that would have never thought to read a comic book before. It helps the comic book business. The movie business has been unbelievably incredible. The Marvel movies are about the biggest money-making movies of all."

Perhaps the biggest Marvel movie on the horizon is Avengers: Age of Ultron, the end of the studio's second phase of films that has seen sequels for both Captain America and Thor, and will soon add new blood with the Guardians of the Galaxy.  So, of course, the team's creator had a small part to play in their second movie mash-up:

"The movies have been great. We have been so lucky. We've got the best directors, the best special effects people and wonderful actors. People that had not been big stars before like the fellow who plays Thor (Chris Hemsworth) - he's wonderful! I was with him yesterday - I did my cameo of course [for Avengers: Age of Ultron]. And Chris [Evans] who plays Captain America… He's excellent."

As for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Lee got in a good-natured jab at the DC property:

"DC could probably make a lot more money with Superman and Batman if they announced that I'd have a cameo in it! People wouldn't believe it - they'd have to go to the theatre to see it!"
