Earlier today, Paramount released an exciting new trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness, and because they’re all about the secrets, they put in a devious little bit of added marketing into one of the shots.  In the UK and Australian versions of the trailer, there’s a bit.ly link to the new poster.  You may have missed it because it’s tiny, in the background, and also behind a scantily clad Alice Eve.  So remember: if someone walks in on you ogling a freeze-frame of some starlet in her underwear, just reply, “I was only looking for a secret URL!  And my pants are off because it’s warm in here!”

Hit the jump to check out the new poster.  The film also stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Bruce Greenwood, Peter Weller, and Benedict CumberbatchStar Trek Into Darkness opens in IMAX 3D on May 15th, and 3D and 2D on May 17th.

Thanks to TrekMovie for the heads-up.  Here’s the freeze-frame:

The official synopsis for Star Trek Into Darkness:

In the wake of a shocking act of terror from within their own organization, the crew of The Enterprise is called back home to Earth.  In defiance of regulations and with a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads his crew on a manhunt to capture an unstoppable force of destruction and bring those responsible to justice.

As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

Well, if someone was going to find it by freezing a certain frame, zooming in, and ogling it, that would be the spot.

Can I have an Alice Eve ?

  • REALLY?

The thought of Matt Goldberg getting his rocks off to this still frame is enough to make me want to projectile vomit.

    • PASS ME THE BUCKET

Too true… I bet the Collider office’s biggest expense is hand-lotion and kleenex for when Goldberg watches anything that features a woman and has to knock one out there and then

      • Dannyboy3030

“We’re gonna need another jar of Vaseline. Goldberg just got the screener for Spring Breakers.”

Only problem with that scenario is the fact that they’d both laugh you out of the room. But don’t let that inconvenient bit of reality stop you from dreaming, okay random collider poster?

      • Will

No different from all overweight fangirls who want to bang Pine and Quinto. Hell, Quinto wouldnt even bang the good looking ones.

  • Joseph M

I hope the film won’t have a volcanic planet finale. Revenge Of The Sith has been there and done that. And whoever spotted the Eve link must have really, really studied that freeze frame.

    • Ur mom

Uh, it won’t. That part is at the beginning. It was already confirmed months ago!!

      • Joseph M

        Uh……..good!

  • tarek

Revenge of the sith was a total mess. So I hopefully, this volcanic planet will erase from my memory anakin jumping here and there on a 1300°C lava without breathing masks… such a non sense…

    • Spazz

Pathetic, Star Wars – Episode III – Revenge Of The Sith is pure awesomeness. Volcanic planet Mustafar was realistic and well done. I cringe at the thought that jj is going to butcher another franchise, I hate jj, and that star wars 7 is already on the wrong track.

      • Mr. Me

Never until now have I both agreed and disagreed so much with the content of one comment.

      • Spazz

        Well good for you.

      • Tarek

Yes. Revenge of the Sith was pure awesomeness in term of non sense:

Anakin:. I want to save Padme from death
Palpatine: I have the remedy. Join me on the dark side.
        Anakin: what must I do?
Palpatine:. Kill as many babies as you can. And try to kill also Padme on mustafar.
Anakin:. Easy. Can I kill also my best friend Obiwan?
Palpatine:. If you are in the mood, please yourselff.

Anakin:. The dark side is so.cooool!

        Padme:. Arggghhh! I am dying!
Anakin:. Shut up. I am trying to save you.

    • Joseph M

Such a nonsense like people beaming from planet to planet and traveling faster than the speed of light? It’s science Fiction, Tarek. Wow!

      • tarek

No. I am a huge fan of Sci-Fi. But surfing on Lava is not Sci-Fi.
You don’t need a suspension of disbelief, but a suspension of brain. ^^

And it’s not the main grievance I have towards this movie, but its very bad writing. It was written like a very bad soap opera with wooden dialogues. And Loads of CGI, at a point where you think to yourself : It’s a video game, not star Wars!

  • mad man

Does Kirk bang this chic before she dies?

I’m not a die hard Trek fan; maybe that’s why I enjoyed Abrams first Trek so much.

But I have to say this poster is really underwhelming. It looks like your garden variety Direct-To-Video DVD cover. Not to mention the trailers, which all look a mess. Strangely, this flick’s entire marketing campaign has felt very generic and hasn’t given off a “space exploratory” vibe at all.

I’ll still be there opening weekend, but everything I’m seeing for this sequel spells DISASTER. Please prove me wrong, Abrams!

You guys need to get laid.

    • Mr. Orange

*sigh* I know. But you know, the economy and such.

  • Kostas

Ehhhhh What Poster ? (if you notice the poster you re GAY or a woman)

Tarek, surfing on lava is the purest sci-fi. Surfing lava with suitable protection and oxygen masks is simply science. Man, Trekkies are uptight.

    • tarek

I’m not a Trekkie. ^^ When I was a kid, I used to watch the original series of Star Trek, as well as Dr Who series. But not to the point to cosplay. Since then, The only Star Trek movie I watched was J.J Abrams ‘s Star Trek, which I liked very much.
surfing on lava is not Science fiction. It’s just Fiction. Or rather Fantasy. Because in Science Fiction there is “science”.
That being said, not everything must be explained of course, like this midi-chlorians BS who are ( thanks Lucas) little bugs in our cells supposed to be the source of the Force. I prefer the mythological and mystical approach.

See that’s where the science comes into it. Mitochondria (midichlorians) ARE tiny bugs in each of our cells that do produce all the forces we use. The fiction is that we can align our force with the force field that pervades all matter and teh cosmos. Fiction for now….
