In this new clip from J.J. Abram’s upcoming Star Trek sequel, Star Trek Into Darkness, Chris Pine’s James T. Kirk and Benedict Cumberbatch’s John Harrison have a heated exchange through a plate-glass prison wall.  While there’s no action in this particular scene, the clip does a nice job of showcasing Kirk’s passionate fury and Harrison’s cold and calculating nature (and apparently his penchant for reciting numerals).

The film also stars Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Alice EveSimon PeggJohn ChoAnton Yelchin and Karl Urban.  Star Trek Into Darkness is slated for a May 15th IMAX 3D release and a 2D and 3D release on May 17th.  Hit the jump to watch the clip and for details on how you can meet the film’s director and cast at the Los Angeles premiere!

Here’s the official synopsis for Star Trek Into Darkness:

In the wake of a shocking act of terror from within their own organization, the crew of The Enterprise is called back home to Earth.  In defiance of regulations and with a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads his crew on a manhunt to capture an unstoppable force of destruction and bring those responsible to justice.

As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

So much emphasis on the bad guy in this film, from the clips to posters. Why? He’s Khan.

In spite of all the lies, it’s why I keep calling it The Wrath of Con.

Of course, anyone who believes anything that comes out of Lindelof’s mouth deserves exactly what they get. And it won’t be good.

WHY THE FUCK WOULD I WANT TO MEET JJ HACK ABRAMS WHEN HE DESTROYED STAR TREK AND WILL NOW DESTROY STA WARS?

That scene in the remake sequel to star trek remake is a complete rip off of Star Trek – Insurrection. The scene with remake kirk and remake spock flying in the ship through the sky is a blatant rip off of the scene with Captain Picard and Commander Worf chasing Commander Data through the skies of Ba’ku in the excellent (close to the TNG series) Star Trek – Insurrection.

GO THE HELL JJ TURD, HACK, FOOL ABRAHMS!!!!!

    • Grayden

lol, seriously? Troll or not, Insurrection was rather dull. Still can’t get over everyone saying JJ killed Star Trek when clearly Star Trek was dying a decade ago. Voyager was good for a few seasons. The first two TNG films were great. Even ‘Enterprise’ was alright, though hammy at times. But let’s not kid ourselves, Trek was at it’s best during the TOS films, and TNG.

Wow. Just…. Wow. On so many levels.

Wow! What an amazing comment. Can’t wait to see all the incredible films that you make. Make sure the auto correct is on when writing the script though. Pretty tough to misspell ‘Star’ but you pulled it off!

      Hahahahah!

    • Mark

No one will take you seriously when you say insurrection is a good movie. Im fairly certain insurrection isnt the first movie to show a sky chase unless your range in watching movies is as pathetic as your taste

  • Scotty

    Oh my. That. was. AMAZING.
