We have some new images pulled from the latest trailer for director J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness. This time around, we get a great look at individual shots of the principal cast members, as well as some clean pictures of the USS Enterprise’s interiors alongside alien worlds. The images also raise a few questions concerning the plot, such as: why is Noel Clarke’s character crying and dropping a ring into a glass, and why is Alice Eve screaming so much?
Starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Benedict Cumberbatch, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Anton Yelchin, John Cho and Bruce Greenwood, Star Trek Into Darkness opens May 17, 2013. Hit the jump to scope out the new images.

He’s long overdue a non-eastend-gangster roll to get stuck into, i look forward to seeing what he does.
I’m not sure there’s much to Clarke beyond grimaces, though.

No, that doesn’t look like Benedict. Pine has thicker eyebrows and it’s very clear on that pic that it’s Pine anyway.
Is that a Klingon Bird of Prey chasing a separated saucer section right between lava ‘splosion and Chris Pine lens flair?
Yep. I just saw IGN’s trailer analysis and it turns out it is the Bird of Prey. That small saucer could be from Starfleet.
