As E3 rolls on, more video game trailers are getting released. I find most video games uninteresting, but these three are definitely on my radar: Star Trek, Bioshock Infinite, and Uncharted 3. Based on their past installments, Bioshock Infinite and Uncharted 3 sell themselves, but they still look damn cool. More intriguing is the new co-op Star Trek game. Trek fans will argue that run-and-gun third-person shooting is not what Star Trek is about, but it’s what a video game is about and I’d rather it be fun than adhere rigidly to the ethos of the original series.
Hit the jump to check out the trailers. Star Trek and Bioshock Infinite are both slated for 2012 while Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception arrives November 1st.

The Star Trek problem has a name: Mass Effect.
i guess i’m one of those people that doesn’t believe a video game has to be about running-and-gunning. i prefer games that aren’t linear. uncharted looks like a movie where i occasionally do stuff, and star trek looks similar. if they could make a star trek game that was more like fallout 3 i think i’d be on board.
I would really like to see a Star Trek game done in the same vein as Mass Effect. You could do away missions pretty much the same but maybe put a greater emphasis on space combat where you get to call the shots from the captains chair. But who knows, maybe youll be able to do that in Mass Effect 3. Time will tell. So I’ll just sit here and continue to play mass effect 2 for the 8th time while patently waiting for ME3. Still it would be pretty cool to get to explore the Enterprise and interact with the crew no?
