Last night, Harrison Ford swung by Jimmy Kimmel Live dressed like a giant hot dog. I assume that’s because Halloween is on Saturday and Ford wants to show people he’s not a humorless grump, but it would be funny if that just became Ford’s thing: showing up on talk shows dressed as food. Furthermore, it would have to be done entirely without explanation, although most hosts would insist on commenting.

But his dress was meaningless next to what he had to say about Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Although he didn’t have any specifics about the movie (obviously), he had nothing but reassuring things to say about the upcoming sequel:

“I can tell you this: It’s really, really good. The new cast—Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac—are phenomenal. J.J. has made an incredible movie. You will not be disappointed at all, I promise you.”

And it’s the new cast that Disney hopes you’ll love. We won’t be seeing any new trailers, but what we’ve seen so far tells us that this is a “passing of the torch” film, and it needs to be. This film just can’t appeal to the 34-year-old men who were already fans. That’s a stagnant franchise. One that grows is one where you love the new characters, so while we all love Harrison Ford no matter how he’s dressed, I’m curious to see how the new additions to the Star Wars universe will perform.

Watch the video below, which also has Ford confirming that he wanted Han Solo to get killed off in Return of the Jedi:
