After many people camped out for days to get into today’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens panel at Comic-Con, the question on everyone’s mind was what new footage Disney and LucasFilm might reveal to attendees. If you had asked people before the panel began if a behind-the-scenes video would be enough to satisfy the die-hard fans, I’d imagine a lot of them would have said no. Most would have probably said “we want a new trailer” or “show us a scene from the movie.”
But as J.J. Abrams unveiled the first in-depth behind-the-scenes video from The Force Awakens, the crowd got silent — everyone realized this wasn’t some bullshit epk clip. As you have hopefully seen for yourself, the video is loaded with tons of new locations from the movie, more footage from scenes that were previously revealed, a downed burning Tie Fighter, tons of stuff on the Millennium Falcon, and so much more. There are new cast members like Simon Pegg, and the original cast like Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher, as well as practical sets and costumes, blueprints, Stormtroopers — it’s nearly impossible to take it all in.
So to make it a bit easier to analyze the new footage, we grabbed about 100 images from the video, which you’ll find below. If you’re looking forward to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, these new images are must-see.
From everything I keep hearing about The Force Awakens, Abrams has knocked it out of the park. These images only add fuel to that fire because I am in love with these pics. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
