If you thought you could just wheel out your old Millennium Falcon model and pass it off as Han Solo's beat-up version seen in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, think again. The highly modified Corellian YT-1300 light freighter ship has undergone some changes since bursting onto the screen in the original trilogy, but those upgrades might be hard to spot without a little assistance. Thankfully, a new video breakdown of all things Millennium Falcon - including the proper pronunciation - is here to help you get your film-inspired models into ship shape.

Not only does this video explore the on-screen origins of the Millennium Falcon and just what went into its construction for George Lucas' films, we also see how the ship has been tweaked from a production standpoint for The Force Awakens. There are also plenty of in-story elements to explain the changes made to the freighter, acting as bits of trivia that enthusiasts will surely be sharing with each other for years to come. You'll also find out which elements of the Millennium Falcon Harrison Ford wanted changed this time around, though if you ask him now, he'll probably request lighter, non-hydraulic-powered doors.
