The first trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has arrived! And with it, naturally, comes plenty of speculation and investigation into what we have just seen. The J.J. Abrams-directed third installment, Episode IX, brings things full circle for the finale of the Skywalker saga. The hype machine has not just arrived folks, it has already left the station.
Below are a host of images we've grabbed from the new trailer, which reveal some of the characters and moments to anticipate and get excited about in the upcoming film. There are plenty of familiar faces -- Poe! Finn! Chewie! Lando! Leia!! -- all anchored by some badass moves by Rey. Per usual, the cinematography is gorgeous, and there looks to be tons of action that will sweep us along in this narrative question to find out if Rey is or isn't a Skywalker (I mean at this point, I don't even know which side I'm rooting for. It's worth remembering that Kylo Ren is one ....) What does it all mean? Study them, remember to breathe, and let us know what you think in the comments.
