While Disney/Lucasfilm recently announced that J.J. Abrams is taking over scripting duties on Star Wars: Episode VII alongside co-writer Lawrence Kasdan, further actual news regarding the new film has been few and far between. Rather than continue to ruminate on rumors and conjecture, we’ve got a piece of history from the original trilogy to share with readers today by way of a new blooper reel. The newly uncovered video clip features previously unseen outtakes from A New Hope, and while it’s not exactly a laugh riot, it is neat to see more behind-the-scenes footage from the film that started it all. In addition, we’ve included the blooper reels from George Lucas’ prequel trilogy. Check out the videos after the jump, and click here for lost footage from Return of the Jedi.
There is no sound in the first few clips from this Episode IV blooper reel, so don’t fret about your speakers being broken.
