This Thursday in Los Angeles, iam8bit is hosting a new gallery opening for a show called “The Famous Chunkies.” As the title implies, the show features pop culture portraits as if the characters have overindulged in junk food. In anticipation of the show, we’ve got a collection of 8 pieces to exclusively debut, and they may look a tad familiar. Behold: the Star Wars Chunkies by artist Alex Solis!

If you’ve ever dreamt of hanging a portrait of Darth Maul twirling a cheeseburger or C-3PO enjoying a nice sugary soda, this is the show for you. The event will take place Thursday, April 16th at 7pm at the iam8bit gallery in Los Angeles, where over 100 Chunkis prints will be showcased, plus a brand new book. But not to fear, non-locals: everything will be on sale for worldwide shipping on Friday morning at iam8bit.com.
