Like its six predecessors, Star Wars: Episode VII will shoot at the U.K.’s famed Pinewood Studios.  According to Screen Daily, “Chancellor George Osborne met executives from Disney-owned Lucasfilm in London earlier this year to discuss the plans,” but as is their policy with major projects, Pinewood declined to comment.  It’s worth noting that the other Star Wars movies also shot at Elstree, Shepperton, Leavesden, Ealing, but there’s no word if Episode VII will film at these locations.  Pinewood, one of the biggest production facilities in the world, will also be playing host to Guardians of the Galaxy, Cinderella, and The Avengers 2 just to name a few of the major productions that will be filming at the studios.

Shooting is set to begin in early 2014, and as we recently reported, casting breakdowns may have already leaked out.  There’s no word if the future Star Wars sequels and spin-offs will film at Pinewood, but it’s a safe assumption.  Star Wars: Episode VII is due out in 2015.
