Rumor: STAR WARS EPISODE 7 Villains Revealed, Will Some Old Faces Pop Up?

     August 15, 2014

It is not a good day for the Mystery Box.  On the heels of this morning’s potential reveal of the new Stormtrooper helmets a bit (bordering on a lot) more information about Star Wars: Episode VII has come tumbling out of the gates.  And I fear for J.J. Abrams’ sanity moving forward with the production (and my own moving forward with the day), because it feels like there is at least one more Star Wars story hitting after this one.

I’m warning you though, the stuff you’re about to read about the film’s villains potentially qualifies as a huge spoiler.  If you don’t want to know what the central conflict of the film is, it’s best to stop reading now.  If you want to go ahead, hit the jump for spoilers on the Star Wars Episode 7 villains.  The film hits theaters on December 18, 2015.

star-wars-rebels-inquisitorsOk let’s start with the villains.  Latino Review says that they are the Inquisitors (as seen in Star Wars: Rebels) and that they have been tied into the Sith all along as defenders of the Sith Order (something that will be unveiled during a flashback when the team catches up with Luke in the film).

On top of that, Carrie Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd won’t be playing Leia’s daughter but will instead be playing Leia herself in the flashback.  In this flashback we will also see the Inquisitors serving Darth Vader so, in case you were wondering if he’ll be making an appearance, he will.

star-wars-episode-7-snowtrooper-helmetDevin Faraci at Badass Digest backs this claim and offers up an exclusive of their own.  The droid hand we saw brandishing that note last week?  It belongs to the main inquisitor, who is basically an android.  Their description is as follows:

“He wears a black robe. His eyes are deep red. And half of his face is metal. He’s a cyborg. That was his hand in the picture JJ Abrams shared with the note about A Force For Change.”

He also backs up the Stormtrooper post from this morning and says that the snow trooper design matches up with the Ice Planet that the empire has commandeered to build their superweapon.

“But get this: it isn’t an ice planet. It’s an ice and forest planet. Think North of the Wall in Game of Thrones.”

Honestly, that sounds really cool.  I’m not a huge Star Wars guy but this movie really seems to be coming together to align with the first two installments.
