Despite the ironclad non-disclosure agreements that folks involved with any Star Wars films are likely to sign, Star Wars: Episode VIII director Rian Johnson is more than happy to share some behind-the-scenes images from production. He recently posted a few new looks on his personal Tumblr page that show off some newly arrived characters alongside iconic vehicles from the Star Wars universe. And while there aren't really any spoilers inherent in the photos that would get Johnson in trouble, I like that he's walking the line just the same.

Now halfway through its shoot, Star Wars: Episode VIII features the return of Daisy Ridley as Rey, Mark Hamill as Luke, John Boyega as Finn, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, and more. Newly incoming cast members include are Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern, and Kelly Marie Tran. Though shooting is almost over, audiences will have to wait until the film's December 15, 2017 release date to see the finished product.

Take a look at the new set photos for Star Wars: Episode VIII as seen on Johnson's Tumblr page:

These other images, posted just yesterday, are each accompanied with the text:

“Good. Bad. I’m the guy with the microfiber sham.”

I can’t believe we’re halfway through the shoot. (We’re halfway through the shoot!)

It's clear that Johnson runs a tight (and clean) ship. It's also apparent that Star Wars: Episode VIII will spend some time aboard an Imperial vessel of some sort-note the Imperial Gunner attire in the image below-and will, of course, feature the Resistance X-Wings. While we're not sure who's tasked with keeping the starfighter's cockpit windows clean, we have a sneaking suspicion that the sneaky pilot hidden almost out of view is none other than Noah Segan. This longtime collaborator with Johnson has appeared in the director's BrickThe Brothers BloomLooper, and even cameoed in the Johnson-directed Breaking Bad episode, "Ozymandias." Segan was reported as having a role in Star Wars: Episode VIII a little over a week ago by BMD.
