The droids are certainly getting their day with Mondo's Star Wars poster series.  The series kicked off with a Scrap Yard Power Droid, the bounty hunter droid IG-88 got a poster, and now we have everyone's favorite astromech droid, R2-D2.  Artist Kevin Tong has drawn up the dazzling "A Linch Pin Droid" which shows an exploded blueprint of Artoo.  The print is limited to an edition of 400, measures 24"x36", uses glow-in-the-dark inks, costs $50, and will go on sale at a random time on Friday, November 26th.  Be sure you're following @MondoNews for the announcement.

Here's what Tong had to say about "A Linch Pin Droid":

My print is called “A Linch Pin Droid” and it’s an exploded view of R2D2, my favorite character in the Star Wars Trilogy. For this print, I made certain that I stayed true to the original Trilogy and spent months watching and pausing it. Although this print is largely technical, I was hoping that by showing R2D2′s individual tools and components all spread out, people can reflect on the moments in the Trilogy where he used those devices to save the day and the galaxy.
