Where will the show go? What fate do our heroes have?

This week’s thrilling episode takes our heroes to an ancient Jedi temple where Ahsoka, Kanan and Ezra must all confront their fears.

Back on Lothal, the first Jedi to face their test was Kanan, who comes across a temple guard that informs him that if he confronts the Empire, his padawan will turn to the dark side and surely perish. At first, Kanan attempts to deny these claims by fighting off the guard who eventually gets the better of him. Kanan learns a valuable lesson in the end that our panelists agree is one of this season’s best moments.

Ezra’s journey is not as sorrowful, nor as violent when compared to his companions, but it was no less informative. Master Yoda appears to Ezra in what Kristian calls “Jedi Skyping,” with the old Jedi regretting past decisions concerning the Clone Wars. In the end, it’s unclear whether Yoda believes fighting against the Empire is a good thing, but Ezra is determined to stay the course. Even if that path means war.

Ahsoka’s vision is the darkest of the bunch, when she finally realizes who Darth Vader is. Hearing her master’s old voice asking why she left him alone was heartbreaking. Each Jedi had to face a harsh truth and how they will emerge from this experience is anyone’s guess. Find out what else our recap team thought of this incredible episode above.

Star Wars Rebels is a weekly show taking place a few years before the time of Episode IV and the lead up to the Rebel Alliance. The show follows the crew of Kanan, Hera, Ezra, Zeb, and Sabine as they battle their way across the galaxy against the Evil Empire.
