Star Wars: The Clone Wars has come to a close now that Disney owns LucasFilm, but a new animated hit could be brewing with Star Wars: Rebels.  The series will take place during the twenty years between Episode III and Episode IV, and shows “a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape.”  According to THR, David Oyelowo, Freddie Prinze Jr., Vanessa Marshall, Taylor Gray, and Steven Jay Blum are in negotiations to play the lead voices in the series.  There are no details on their characters, and we probably shouldn't expect any specific news in the near future since the series isn't set to arrive until fall 2014.

This will be Oyelowo's first time doing voice work, and while Prinze hasn't done extensive voice acting, he did have a major role a high-profile title with last year's Mass Effect 3.  Marshall, Gray, and Blum all have experience working on animated TV series.
