Yesterday brought the news that Star Wars: The Force Awakens Blu-ray would be making its way into your home early this April, and it'd be bringing a bevy of bonus features with it. Though one of those bonus features was teased by way of a brief look at a deleted scene, we weren't quite sure how many deleted scenes would be available or what their content would be. That's all changed.
Thanks to a breakdown of the special features by JB Hi-Fi, we have a look at just what those deleted scenes entail. Some of them we heard about from Steve's interview with ILM visual effects supervisors Roger Guyett and Patrick Tubach, and creature supervisor Neal Scanlan and special effects supervisor Chris Corbould. Before we dig into their quotes, here's a look at the deleted scenes you can expect to see on the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Blu-ray:
- Finn and The Villager
- Jakku Message
- X-Wings Prepare for Lightspeed
- Kylo Searches The Falcon
- Snow Speeder Chase
- Finn Will Be Fine
Feel free to speculate on just what these scenes will be and where in the film they'll be located; let us know what you think in the comments section! Guyett and Tubach previously mentioned the fact that they had to cut the snow speeder chase scene from the film, so it's pretty cool that the sequence made the list of approved deleted scenes for the home video presentation. Scanlan and Corbould, meanwhile, mentioned a powerful scene in which Maz Kanata displays her considerable powers, but it doesn't look like that scene will be showing up here.
