After Harrison Ford showed up on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night dressed as a hot dog in order to have a Halloween-themed chat about Star Wars: The Force Awakens, it was announced that more Star Wars shenanigans would be coming to the late-night talk show prior to the movie's December 18th opening. Director J.J. Abrams and stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver and John Boyega will appear on the November 23rd show in an all-out Star Wars special.

THR reported on the upcoming special after Ford shared some insider info on last night's show. They were quick to point out that the synergy between Disney/Lucasfilm's Star Wars and Jimmy Kimmel Live, which airs on Disney-owned ABC, is just another part of the Mouse House's common-sense marketing. It's the same reason that the trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens first debuted on Disney-owned ESPN's Monday Night Football, and not NBC's Sunday Night Football, as had briefly been reported. Following that theme, it's the reason that the first trailer for Disney/Marvel's Captain America: Civil War will be playing in front of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and not Sony/MGM/Columbia's James Bond film, Spectre.

Fans of Jimmy Kimmel Live are also used to stars from other ABC shows, such as Scandal, making common, weekly appearances to capitalize on the series' popularity. Long-time Kimmel fans might even remember that Abrams directed a 2006 episode of the talk show during the popular years of his TV show, Lost, which also aired on ABC. We'll see if he steps behind the camera again for the upcoming special.
