If you're going to Comic-Con in a few weeks and are curious about the new "Stargate Universe" show, I've got some information for you. On Friday at 10:30am in Ballroom 20, the cast and creators (Robert Carlyle, Brian J. Smith, Elyse Levesque, David Blue, Alaina Huffman, Jamil Walker Smith, Ming-Na and series co-creators Brad Wright and Robert Cooper) are going to be doing a Q&A. But more important than the Q&A, I've been told you'll be able to see a huge first look at the show. Will it be the entire premiere episode? I don't know. But with the need for any new show to get noticed, I'm sure the footage being shown is going to be special.

And one last thing, after the jump you can watch a short video of David Blue explain his character Eli Wallace. The video also includes some footage from the show.

Here's the synopsis:

SGU follows a band of soldiers, scientists and civilians, who must fend for themselves as they are forced through a Stargate when their hidden base comes under attack. The desperate survivors emerge aboard an ancient ship, which is locked on an unknown course and unable to return to Earth.  Faced with meeting the most basic needs of food, water and air, the group must unlock the secrets of the ship's Stargate to survive.  The danger, adventure and hope they find on board the Destiny will reveal the heroes and villains among them.
