Actor Stephen Lang had an excellent 2009 with Avatar, Public Enemies, and The Men Who Stare at Goats.  In 2010 it’s paying off as earlier this year he landed the role of the villain in Conan and now he’s set to star opposite Jason O’Mara (the US version of Life on Mars) in Fox’s upcoming sci-fi series Terra Nova.  The series is about a group of humans from 2149 who try to butterfly-effect up the joint by going back in time 85 million years and starting civilization anew.  According to Deadline, Lang will play the “charismatic and ruthless leader of the Terra Nova settlement.” A “charismatic and ruthless leader?”  I’m sure the hundreds of millions of people who saw Avatar will attest that he can pull that off.

Terra Nova is being produced by Steven Spielberg.  Unfortunately, the series is still a long ways off and we won’t see a sneak peak until May 2011.
