Deadline reports that Carell and Johnson will star in an as-of-yet untitled mob comedy.  Just a day after Warner Bros. paid big bucks to acquire two unproven commodities, the studio has dropped another six-figure sum to pick up the pitch by Johnson and Max Winkler (Ceremony). The comedy will be drafted by Late Show with David Letterman writer, Rodney Rothman and directed by Winkler.  Carell, who just wrapped on The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, can next be seen in Seeking a Friend for the End of the World. Johnson, who was recently in 21 Jump Street and No Strings Attached, can be seen next in Safety Not Guaranteed. Johnson will also continue to be featured on the small screen, as the funny freshman comedy New Girl has been renewed for a second season.

Heat Vision reports that Carter will join Jessabelle, a horror project currently filming in North Carolina. The Lionsgate film scripted by Robert Ben Garant (Night at the Musem) also stars Sarah Snook (Sleeping Beauty) and Mark Webber (Scott Pilgrim vs the World).  Snook plays Jessie, a girl who returns to her father's Louisiana home after an accident renders her legs useless.  There, she must confront a vengeful ghost.  Carter will play Jessie's mother, Sarah.

Via Variety, Yazpik will star alongside Javier Camara (Hable con Ella / Talk to Her) in Los Amantes Pasajeros.  Agustin Almodovar will produce for his brother, who is rumored to have initiated rehearsals even though the Madrid shoot isn't scheduled to begin until summer.
