One of the biggest letdowns of Suicide Squad was a lack of the Joker (Jared Leto) and his interaction with Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie). Leto even remarked during an interview that there were so many scenes of his cut from the theatrical release that they could be stitched together for another movie. DC fans will finally see what they’ve been craving in the Suicide Squad extended cut, and there’s a preview of one of the deleted scenes available to watch right now.

EW released the new footage, revealing Harley’s trip down memory lane. She sees a motorcycle on the street and recalls a time when she chased down the Clown Prince of Gotham. This was before her transformation, and we see her crashing the bike and screaming “You’re not leaving me!” as Joker comes to an abrupt stop in front of her. He clearly wants nothing to do with her anymore, but it’s unclear why he tried abandoning her.

The Suicide Squad extended edition will be available on digital download this Tuesday, and DVD and Blu-ray on Dec. 13th. The cut will include 13 extra minutes of the movie, in addition to a gag reel and featurettes (one diving into the story of Joker and Harley’s relationship). The theatrical cut seemed to almost romanticize this villainous relationship, which is pretty f-ed up when you consider Joker’s on-going abuse of Harley in the comics.

Directed by David Ayer, the film also features Will Smith as Deadshot, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Adele Akkinuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, Adam Beach as Slipknot, and even a brief cameo from Ezra Miller’s The Flash.

The DC Extended Universe will continue to expand next year with Wonder Woman and Justice League.
