We have our first defector in the Marvel vs. DC movie war. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who played both Algrim the Strong and Kurse in Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World, has now been set in a role for Warner Bros.’ DC Comics adaptation Suicide Squad. But this isn’t just any supporting character: The Wrap reports that the Lost alum will be playing the villainous Killer Croc in the DC film, which revolves around a group of villains enlisted by the government to perform high-risk missions in exchange for commuted sentences.

Killer Croc is a notable baddie in the DC Universe who boasts a reptilian-like appearance. The argument could be made that the character already kind of appeared onscreen, albeit unofficially: The Lizard in The Amazing Spider-Man looked a whole lot like the comics iteration of Killer Croc.

It’s unclear how big of a role the character will play in the Suicide Squad proceedings, but since the ensemble cast is growing quite large, I imagine it’s not a major character. Much of the movie takes place at Arkham Asylum so he's likely a prisoner, though he could certainly reappear in future DC Comics movies down the line. I wouldn’t necessarily call this a “betrayal” against Marvel either, since Akinnuoye-Agbaje was covered up by makeup in most of Thor: The Dark World and his character eventually bit the dust.

The Wrap adds that Karen Fukuhara has also been set in an undisclosed role in Suicide Squad, which added Scott Eastwood to its cast yesterday, apparently as Wonder Woman’s love interest.

Filming on director David Ayer’s adaptation is going to begin in a matter of weeks, so the final pieces of the casting puzzle are coming together right now. This is a big movie for WB as it acts as the follow-up to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and will be the studio’s first non-Superman movie of its new DC Comics universe, and I’ve been impressed with the team that’s come together thus far.

Suicide Squad also stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, Cara Delevingne, Viola Davis, and Jay Hernandez and opens in theaters on August 5, 2016.
