Earlier this week, a number of images from Empire Magazine’s latest issue landed online in the form of low-quality scans pertaining to Warner Bros.’ upcoming comic book adaptation Suicide Squad. Well, if you were itching to see some of those images in much better quality, today’s your day. These photos offer great looks at Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje’s Killer Croc, Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, Cara Delevigne’s Enchantress, Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller, and yes, Jared Leto’s Joker.

I continue to be really excited for this movie. Warner Bros. is taking a gamble by following up the icon-filled Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice with this dark, villain-centric pic mostly made up of characters that the general public has little knowledge of. Nabbing Fury and End of Watch helmer David Ayer to write and direct was a big coup, and everything we’ve seen thus far hints that this is going to be an Ayer film through and through.

Speaking to these images specifically, I love the makeup design for Croc—it’s terrifying yet fascinating at the same time, and I’m curious to see how his appearance is explained within the context of the film. Akinnuoye-Agbaje describes the character to Empire as “a cannibal with rage issues,” so there’s some nightmare fuel for you.

Robbie continues to look like she was born to play Harley Quinn, and while it’s disappointing that Delevigne’s costume was reworked into what’s essentially a bikini, I like the dirt-covered angle for Enchantress. It’s Davis as Waller, however, who I have a feeling might just steal the movie. The actress had this to say about the character when speaking with Empire:

“She’s relentless in her villainy,. When you look at her, there’s nothing that seems dangerous. Her only power is her intelligence and her complete lack of guilt.”

Yes. Check out the high quality versions of these images below, via Empire. Suicide Squad opens in theaters on August 5, 2016.
