The Sunday TV Ratings for March 15th are in; here are some of the highlights:

  • When will I bring good tidings of ratings news? Not today. Daylight Savings is still an issue, it seems. Overall viewership was down 3% Sunday, after being down 7% for most of the week prior.
  • Let's get to the ugly numbers: at 8 p.m., ABC's Once Upon a Time scored a 1.8 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, and 5.83 million viewers, which is down 14 percent from last week. (Although ABC won the night overall in the key demo).
  • CBS's Madam Secretary, also at 8 p.m., actually saw a rebound from last week, going up 10 percent to a 1.2 and 11.18 million viewers.
  • CBS won the night overall with viewers, helped by 60 Minutes at 7 p.m., which was up a whopping 40 percent from last week, to a 1.4 rating and 11.19 million viewers.

At 8:30 p.m., Brooklyn Nine-Nine sank 7 percent to a 1.4 rating and 2.99 million viewers on Fox, while The Last Man on Earth continued its dive at 9:30 p.m. to a 1.5 and 3.96 million viewers (down 21 percent from last week, but it's still putting up decent numbers for a Fox Sunday show).
  • The crime miniseries Secrets & Lies, on ABC at 9 p.m., dropped another 7 percent to a 1.3 rating and 5.34 million viewers.
  • Another struggling freshman show, Battle Creek at 10 p.m. on CBS, notched a barely-alive 0.8 rating and 6.74 million viewers.
  • CBS's The Good Wife tied its series low from last week: a 1.0 rating and 8.8 million viewers. It's a great show and it's seen dark days before, but I'm not sure it will be able to survive these numbers for much longer.
