This week on the Collider Supergirl recap show, Clarke Wolfe, Carli Garsow, Britta Garsow and guest panelist John Rocha catch up on the hit CBS series by discussing both the mid-season finale and tonight’s mid-season premiere.

After Cat Grant’s email is hacked, Kara, James, and Winn are on the hunt to discover who is responsible before too much of Cat’s personal information is revealed. Meanwhile back at the DEO, Alex preps Kara for battle with her aunt General Astra, Lieutenant Non and their team of villainous aliens. But everything isn’t as simple as it appears, as we learn more about Astra and Kara’s relationship on Krypton and discover that perhaps Kara’s mother Alura wasn’t as innocent as she appeared. Plus, Alex continues to protect Jean’s identity while Cat uncovers more about Kara’s.

The events of the mid-season finale are continued in tonight’s all new episode, “Blood Bonds,” as Jean is captured by Non, Astra is held by the DEO and Maxwell Lord is taking matters into his own hands. Kara continues to try to convince Kat that she isn’t the Girl of Steel while simultaneously grappling with the possibility that her Aunt could be truly evil.

Were you excited to see how the mid-season finale wrapped up on tonight’s premiere? What do you think Maxwell Lord is really up to? We’re discussing all of this and much more now that Supergirl is back for the rest of the season! Tell us your thoughts about the finale and the premiere in the comments. Supergirl, starring Melissa Benoist, Chyler Leigh, Mehcad Brooks, Jeremy Jordan, and Calista Flockhart returns to CBS Monday, January 11 at 8PM.
