At this point most of us know how disappointing Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four was for critics and fans alike, and that’s all without considering the rumored issues that went on between the director and 20th Century Fox. So putting it very gently, Fox is in a delicate spot with their Fantastic Four franchise, specifically with now trying to make a Fantastic Four 2. That being the case, it should come as no surprise that the studio has removed the planned sequel from its upcoming release schedule, leaving the question of when we might get to see a sequel if at all.

During a talk with Steve, Roven confirmed that they are in very early stages of developing a script, and that when Wan is done with current directing duties he will dive into the development of Aquaman.
