‘Thor: Ragnarok’: Expect “a Lot More Hulk”, Says Mark Ruffalo

Even though they weren’t necessarily missed, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk were absent from Captain America: Civil War. But fans of the giant green rage monster and the god of thunder will have plenty to look at from both characters when Thor: Ragnarok comes around, and according to Ruffalo himself, you should look forward to plenty of Hulk. During an interview, Ruffalo stated that we should expect to see “a lot more Hulk” in a movie that he describes as an “intergalactic buddy road movie with Banner and Thor”.

The arrival of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is mere days away, so naturally the final marketing push is in full effect with the release of a new trailer, clips, and featurette. The newest trailer finds villains Bebop and Rocksteady taking the spotlight and causing a lot of trouble for the titular turtles, while the clips offer up a mix of behind-the scenes footage, actual footage, and character introductions, all teasing what is about to hit when opening day arrives.

‘Ghost in the Shell’: Japanese Star Rila Fukushima Joins Cast

It’s fair to say that the Ghost in the Shell movie has been in the middle of some white-washing controversy lately with the casting of Scarlett Johansson in the leading role of a Japanese character, and also the whole debacle about VFX tests being ran trying to make actors appear Asian. But now lighter news has been released with the casting of Japanese actress Rila Fukushima, who was actually among the lists of names of Japanese actresses who could’ve starred. According to reports, Fukushima joins Johansson and the rest of the primarily Asian cast in an undisclosed role.

‘Battle Angel’: Rosa Salazar to Lead

The film Battle Angel, based on the Manga Battle Angel Alita, has been in development for a while, and things picked up motion when Robert Rodriguez took over directing duties and began the search for a leading young woman, for which a shortlist had recently been revealed. That search is now over, being that we now learned from sources that actress Rosa Salazar, who was among those names revealed that were up for the role, has actually landed the part. There is still no info on a production timeline, but this can still be seen as a big step forward.

'Wolverine 3' Villains May Have Been Revealed

The highly-anticipated Wolverine 3 is currently filming, and though very little is known about the upcoming film at this point, this week we may have learned what villains will be taking on Logan (Hugh Jackman). Although it is still considered a rumor, reports point out that Old Man Logan will be battling it out with the Reavers, who are a group of mercenaries who have a particular disliking towards mutants, especially Wolverine.

‘Spider-Man’ Animated Movie: Miles Morales to Lead?

While we are all very much looking forward to the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming, we can’t forget that an animated Spider-Man movie is also in the works, and apparently we will get to see a non-Peter Parker Spider-Man in said animated film. According to an unconfirmed report, the still untitled animated Spider-Man film will feature Miles Morales in the webbed suit, and the character of Black and Hispanic heritage would mark the first time Peter Parker isn’t behind the mask in a Spider-Man feature film.
