It’s tough making one cool superhero poster. But making ten of them, each one is as cool as the last, that’s almost impossible. But that’s what Marko Manev has managed to do with his new black and white superhero noir posters featuring Batman, Hulk, Captain America, Spider-Man, Silver Surfer, Thor, Iron Man, Superman, Dr. Manhattan, and Wolverine. As you’ll see after the jump, every poster captures an iconic scene for the superhero featured. And while all of them are extremely well done, I think the Silver Surfer is my favorite. All very cool but my two favorites are Superman and Thor.

Thor, Captain America’s, and Superman’s are my favorite ones.
Hard to choose, wouldn’t be disappointed with any one of these on my wall.
I love them all but the Superman one is a ripoff of The Rocketeer.

These are awesome! I love the Spiderman and Thor ones, but they’re all pretty sweet.
Oh come on. Batman’s is clearly the best of the lot, and yet no one so far has even mentioned it.
Because they’re opinions, just like yours.
No, not really. The “best” also refers to quality, and quality can be quite objective – rather than subjective “opinions”. Batman’s IS the best (technically, lighting, mood, depth), but it’s also very iconic and familiar, so it doesn’t make such an impression. My second fave for example, Silver Surfer, is quite “simplistic”, even easy – but I didn’t expect it and it made a bigger impression on me.

They’re all pretty great, but I’d have to say the weakest of the lot is the Hulk one. My favorite one is Batman with Dr. Manhattan and Silver Surfer close seconds. Iron Man is really good too.
