As we near ever closer to the debut of the Fall 2016 season of superhero TV, new bits of information, images, and video teasers continue to delight us ahead of the return of such shows as Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.The FlashArrow, and Supergirl. So because you might already have your DVRs set and your scheduled cleared out to catch your favorite shows whenever it's convenient for you, we're going to bring you all the latest superhero TV news updates together in one place.

If you want another shot of Gabriel Luna as Robbie Reyes, a.k.a. Ghost Rider, from the upcoming season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., we've got it. If you can't get enough images and info from the second season of Supergirl, now on The CW, or its planned musical crossover with The Flash, we've got that, too. And we have some insight into a guest appearance of one character on Arrow's Season 5 premiere that might surprise some folks. Check it all out below!

'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Gears Up for Ghost Rider's Arrival

While I'm as excited as the next person to see Luna bring Reyes/Ghost Rider to the small screen, consider me super pleased to see how awesome his ride looks in this new video. The state of superhero TV has never been better and the quality of the shows' production has only gone up and up year after year. And though Disney/Marvel continues to keep their small-screen universe frustratingly small, compared to the sprawling DC TV universe, this addition to AoS should be a crowd-pleaser.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns to ABC for its Season 4 debut "The Ghost" on Tuesday, September 20th at 10pm.

The above-seen image, which comes courtesy of EW (via CBR), comes to us out of context, but we can assume that Supergirl ain't taking a new set of wheels out for a test drive. Is she stopping some ne'er-do-well during a poorly conceived getaway, or did a citizen of National City just have a really bad day that only got worse once they crashed into their home's resident superhero?

And speaking of that city, fans of the first season might notice a change in the backdrop since production has moved from Los Angeles to Vancouver, the home of The CW's other superhero series. So while the show "might be a little rainy once in a while, and we might see her breath,” according to executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, "it’s going to be worth it because the show is actually going to feel bigger.”

Supergirl returns in its Season 2 premiere "The Adventures of Supergirl" on The CW Monday, October 10th at 8pm.

'The Flash' / 'Supergirl' Musical Crossover Scripts Are Finalized

Super-producer Greg Berlanti recently talked to Indiewire about all sorts of things relate to his career, though a big chunk of the conversation landed on The Flash / Supergirl musical crossover. Here's what Berlanti had to say about the status of the episode(s):

How far along is the “Supergirl”/”The Flash” musical crossover?

We just finished writing the fall crossovers. And now we’re trying to figure out how to produce them. That’s probably the most challenging thing we do all year. And now we’re doing it across three shows! But next week we’ll have to start talking about clearing music. I have a few ideas for tone and style in my head but we’re just starting to talk about what that can be. I do want to try and get an original piece of music written. As we make a deal on that we’ll probably make some announcements on the original songs.

Perhaps written by, I don’t know, Lin-Manuel Miranda?

[laughs] I would say, pretty close. I can’t say yet because we don’t have a deal yet, but I did speak to someone we’re really excited about. There are some writers I’m incredibly excited to work with.

The CW Super-Series Crossover Will Play "Like a Three-Hour Miniseries"

Come November, fans of the DC TV shows on The CW will experience an epic crossover event that will pull from each of the four shows, including DC's Legends of Tomorrow. In the aforementioned interview with Indiewire, Berlanti revealed the complicated process for scripting that crossover special as follows:

Back to the big CW series crossover, how difficult is that to pull off across so many series?

You really are trying to run a single production across three different productions. But they’re run as three separate entities. We have to figure out when we’re borrowing one actor from where. We’re telling one cohesive story; “Supergirl” will participate, but the storyline doesn’t actively begin there. There are some characters who show up in her episode, but the story begins with “The Flash” episode and goes to “Arrow” and “Legends of Tomorrow.” We’re just getting into designing the bad guy for it, and we start now but it doesn’t air until the end of November. We will put a lot of time between now and then figuring out visual effects sequences. Just today I was holding the three scripts back-to-back – that’s 180 pages of material. It’s a three-hour story, almost a miniseries.

And when you place all three scripts together, it unlocks some sort of fortune.

[laughs] It’s very daunting when you hold them all together like that. Each one of these pages is 10 hours of shooting and a visual effects extravaganza. But hopefully it feels like a great kind of crossover comic book sell.

'Arrow' Season 5 Premiere to Feature the Return of Katie Cassidy

While it's not really a surprise that Katie Cassidy will continue to have a presence across the DC TV universe since she recently signed a deal to be a series regular across the Arrowverse, just which character she'll appear as is a curious question. Arrow executive producer Wendy Mericle revealed at San Diego Comic-Con that Cassidy would be returning/appearing in some form or another this season, but as Comicbook.com now reports, fans will be seeing her sooner than expected.

When Arrow makes its Season 5 debut on Wednesday, October 5th at 8pm on The CW in "Legacy", Cassidy will be on screen. This news came courtesy of Cassidy herself, who appeared at the Salt Lake Comic Con. She said the following:

"And coming up, you will see me in the premiere of Arrow, Season 5. Pretty exciting. And I will also be—they announced at Comic Con, which I'm safe to say—across all three shows: Flash, Legends, and Arrow, for this next year. So, I'm excited about that."
