Gotham City University and Metropolis City University Football Jerseys from SUPERMAN VS. BATMAN

     October 18, 2013

Earlier this week, we reported that Zack Snyder would be filming some of Superman/Batman this weekend during halftime at the football game at East Los Angeles College Weingart Stadium.  The filming will only take about 20 minutes, and then the game will resume, but during halftime, it looks like there will be some extras in football player costumes.  Images of the Gotham City University and Metropolis State University jerseys have leaked online.  As you can see, Under Armor is a proud sponsor of fictional teams.  Also, considering that the GCU jersey is almost all black, I’m glad that Snyder didn’t make the MSU jerseys blue and red.  While these are costumes that will almost certainly be returned to the costume department, the production is also giving out t-shirts to the first 2,000 people who sit in the filming area, and folks will be keeping those (or selling them for ridiculous prices on eBay).

Hit the jump to check out the jerseys.  The film stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, and Lawrence Fishburne. The untitled Man of Steel sequel opens July 17, 2015.
