Susan Sarandon and John Goodman.jpg

Susan Sarandon and John Goodman have been added to the cast of "You Don't Know Jack", HBO's biopic of Dr. Jack Kevorkian.  "Jack" is being directed by Barry Levinson (who made some good movies back in the eighties) and will star Al Pacino as Doctor Death himself.  Kevorkian became infamous in the 1990's as the face of physician-assisted suicide (euthanasia) before going to jail in 1999.  According to The Hollywood Reporter Goodman will play Neal Nicol, the friend of Jack's who wrote the book upon which the film is loosely based.  Sarandon, who last appeared with Goodman in the much-maligned "Speed Racer", will play a Hemlock Society activist who eventually became one of the patients to utilize Kevorkian's "Mercy Machine."
