Last night in downtown

Los Angeles was the “Street Fighter IV” video game release party. However, with the upcoming “Street Fighter” movie set to hit theaters at the end of the month, and 2009 being the 20th Anniversary of the franchise, last night was a lot more than a release party.

That’s because 20th Century Fox brought in most of the cast and the party was open to anyone who had RSVP in advance. So unlike some parties that are stiff and full of industry types, many of the folks inside were die-hard fanboys that couldn’t wait to play the game.

And if you were one of the few that got in, you were able to walk around and see tons of famous faces and they were all playing the game and having fun. It was actually a lot better of a night than I expected.

If you want to see a lot of pictures from the event and me walking around on video, click here.

Anyway, before the event got started I managed to do a few interviews on the red carpet and the one you’re about to watch is with Taboo from Black Eyed Peas.

In “Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li” Taboo plays Vega, so during our interview we talked about making the movie, the challenges of doing the action, and of course we talked about what’s up with the Black Eyed Peas. Take a look:

Taboo – From Black Eyed Peas

· He shows off the actual Vega mask from the Street Fighter movie

· Was he a fan of the video game

· How did they approach him to be in the movie

· Talks about filming and how did he prepare to fight in the movie

· I ask if they had him grab any walls as that’s a famous move from the game. He says he didn’t do that but the claw is in it…

· What did he learn from working on Street Fighter

· Black Eyed Peas update – says a new album is coming in June

· I ask how much freedom does the record company give them

· When does he know a song is done
