agents-of-s-h-i-e-l-d-recap-season-2-episode-8

Welcome back, true believers!  When last we left our heroes of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the former S.H.I.E.L.D.  agent antagonist turned crazed serial killer had been thwarted and the alien language’s true origin had been revealed…somewhat.  With the language now shown to be the schematics for an ancient city, will this be the first revelation that begins the snowball effect toward Marvel Studios’ recently announced Inhumans film, as many are theorizing?  Meanwhile, this episode also promises to give us a Ward vs. Ward slugfest as former Agent Grant Ward fights his brother Christian, now senator, in a case of violent sibling rivalry.  Will this episode be the introduction of Attilan, the Inhuman city?  Which Ward will ward off his brother?  Will we get an appearance from Lockjaw, the giant bulldog with a tuning fork on his forehead the Inhumans use to teleport across the globe?  It’s as weird as it sounds folks.  Hit the jump for our recap of the latest episode, “The Things We Bury”.

The indie dramedy Beside Still Waters, from first-time feature director Chris Lowell (best known as “Piz” from Veronica Mars), follows Daniel (Ryan Eggold), as he invites his oldest friends to spend one last weekend at his parents’ lake house.  Even though none of Daniel’s friends share in his nostalgia of the good old days, they still find themselves confessing secrets and rekindling romances that ultimately allow them to let go of the past and look ahead to the future.

During this exclusive phone interview with Collider, actor Brett Dalton (who plays James, a struggling actor turned reality star who is less than truthful when it comes to his own romantic life) talked about how he came to be playing this role in his first acting job out of grad school, why he so clearly identified with this character, the challenges in figuring out film acting while on the job, and the experience of working with this ensemble for the shoot.  He also talked about identifying with both sides of Grant Ward on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the big fuss about his beard, how different things are in Season 2, and why he prefers playing the lone wolf side of his character.  Check out what he had to say after the jump.

Welcome back, true believers!  When last we left the Agents, the team had a few new members including Bobbi Morse, aka Mockingbird.  Also, once good guy now Hydra goon, Agent Ward had escaped from custody and is on the run from the team after being told for the umpteenth time how much Ward and co. hated his guts.  While chasing after their former colleague, the team also begins to discover bodies, with the alien language Agent Coulson has been etching on desks and walls etched into them.  Will the team be able to juggle both of these problems while also juggling their ever growing cast members?  Will it be revealed that Skye’s father is in fact Calvin Zabo, aka Mr. Hyde and she is in fact, Quake?  Will Dr. Doom appear as a nefarious blogger who plagues the team with negative yelp reviews?
