agents-of-s-h-i-e-l-d-recap-season-2-episode-8

Welcome back, true believers!  When last we left our heroes of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the former S.H.I.E.L.D.  agent antagonist turned crazed serial killer had been thwarted and the alien language’s true origin had been revealed…somewhat.  With the language now shown to be the schematics for an ancient city, will this be the first revelation that begins the snowball effect toward Marvel Studios’ recently announced Inhumans film, as many are theorizing?  Meanwhile, this episode also promises to give us a Ward vs. Ward slugfest as former Agent Grant Ward fights his brother Christian, now senator, in a case of violent sibling rivalry.  Will this episode be the introduction of Attilan, the Inhuman city?  Which Ward will ward off his brother?  Will we get an appearance from Lockjaw, the giant bulldog with a tuning fork on his forehead the Inhumans use to teleport across the globe?  It’s as weird as it sounds folks.  Hit the jump for our recap of the latest episode, “The Things We Bury”.

Brett Dalton Talks BESIDE STILL WATERS, Identifying with the Character, AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2, His Beard, and More

The indie dramedy Beside Still Waters, from first-time feature director Chris Lowell (best known as “Piz” from Veronica Mars), follows Daniel (Ryan Eggold), as he invites his oldest friends to spend one last weekend at his parents’ lake house.  Even though none of Daniel’s friends share in his nostalgia of the good old days, they still find themselves confessing secrets and rekindling romances that ultimately allow them to let go of the past and look ahead to the future.

During this exclusive phone interview with Collider, actor Brett Dalton (who plays James, a struggling actor turned reality star who is less than truthful when it comes to his own romantic life) talked about how he came to be playing this role in his first acting job out of grad school, why he so clearly identified with this character, the challenges in figuring out film acting while on the job, and the experience of working with this ensemble for the shoot.  He also talked about identifying with both sides of Grant Ward on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the big fuss about his beard, how different things are in Season 2, and why he prefers playing the lone wolf side of his character.  Check out what he had to say after the jump.

Marvel’s AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Recap: “A Hen in the Wolf House”

agents-of-shield-season-2-logo-slice

Welcome back, true believers!  Our latest installment promises to introduce a long standing character from the comics into the Marvel cinematic universe in the form of Bobbi Morse, played by Adrianne Palicki.  Bobbi, aka Mockingbird, is the ex-wife of Avenger, Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner in the movies), and has found herself on quite a few incarnations of the team herself.  In our most recent installment of the series, the gang will find themselves at odds with Ms. Morse as she is revealed to be the current head of security for Hydra.  Whether or not this is a con or a new take on the character is yet to be seen, though it would be funny to see how many undercover S.H.I.E.L.D. agents there are in Hydra at this point with the recent episode focusing on Simmons.  (Maybe there are no actual Hydra agents left!)  Will the team be able to battle the forces of Hydra this go around?  Is Mockingbird friend or foe?  Has Agent Coulson been working on his dance routine from last week?  All these and more revealed in our latest Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. recap after the jump.
