Seth Rogen to Voice Lead in BOO U

by     Posted 4 years, 14 days ago

At this point, Seth Rogen is a bona fide voice actor: he’s been the pipes behind animated characters in Shrek the Third, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Horton Hears a Who, Kung Fu Panda, Monsters vs. Aliens, and the upcoming Simon Pegg/Nick Frost comedy Paul.  Now  DreamWorks Animation has signed Rogen to voice the lead ghost in Boo U.  According to Heat Vision, “the comic story centers on a ghost who must return to ghost school to learn how to be a better spook.”  Tony Leondis (Igor) is on board as director.

Rogen will next be seen in live-action form in the Michel Gondry’s 3D The Green Hornet (January 14, 2011).  His gruff voice can soon be heard again in the aforementioned Paul (March 18, 2011) and Kung Fu Panda 2 (May 26, 2011).

New Details on Upcoming DreamWorks Animation Films TRUCKERS and BOO U

by     Posted 4 years, 28 days ago

In May of last year, DreamWorks Animation announced their release schedule through 2012.  Among the original films scheduled were the caveman comedy The Croods, Truckers, and “Super Secret Ghost Project”.  Today, the magazine License Global reports that “Super Secret Ghost Project” is officially titled Boo U.  Based on the title, I think it’s safe to assume that it’s about an educational institution for ghosts, the little girl from Monster’s, Inc., or girlfriends and boyfriends.

License Global also reports that Truckers is based on Terry Pratchett’s “The Bromeliad Trilogy”.  Per Wikipedia, “The trilogy tells the story of the Nomes, a race of tiny people from another world who now live hidden among humans. Through the books they struggle to survive in the world and, once they learn of their history from an artifact known as “The Thing”, make plans to return home.“  Neither Truckers or Boo U currently has a release date.
